Breakfast at Parque Lage!

Parque Lage is one of the most beautiful parks in Rio and whether you live or visit here, you can not miss spending a nice sunday morning there with a delicious breakfast.

Inside the park, you can find this old mansion from the Colonial Brazil that used  to be a farm around the 16th century, a real Rio cultural heritage. Around the 18th century, a beautiful garden was projected by a british landscaper. In 1920, Henrique Lage owned the area and as he was fascinated about arts, he reproduced a “palazzo romano” in his architecture project.

The surrounding gardens are part of the Floresta da Tijuca, the world´s largest urban forest, near the Corcovado and the Botanical Gardens.

So, appart from all this beautiful place to visit, you can enjoy the famous breakfast at the Cafe, inside the mansion. After that, there´s always an art exhbition of the Parque Lage School of Visual Arts.
